A coquette is someone who masterfully plays an emotional game of cat-and-mouse—switching between warmth and coldness to keep others leaning in, through the slow burn of delayed gratification. Historically, coquettish behavior gave women a way to subvert patriarchal expectations: a quieter means of agency, control, and social leverage without appearing overtly confrontational. On this album, the “latent coquette” lives in that same strategy, but in a subtler key—ultra-feminine details, withheld intention, and a knowing, if you know, you know kind of signal.
