Little Bird Came Home is a six-track concept album about the pain, memory, and survival connected to the Sixties Scoop. The album follows the journey of a child taken from her Indigenous family, renamed, raised in another world, and later called back toward her original identity, family, culture, and land. The six tracks move through the full emotional story: the day the children were taken, the wound of being given another name, the adult search for identity, the siblings scattered across different lives, the grief of the parents left behind, and finally the return home. Together, the songs preserve not only the facts of what happened, but the human experience of loss, searching, truth, and survival.
