Drift Away

Download/Stream: https://ffm.to/barxdriftaway Take a moment to let go of your stress and drift away... This EP began its life as a number of sketches written entirely on analog synthesizer, primarily the Moog Matriarch and Korg Minilogue. From there, I further developed the arrangements with the help of my Yamaha DX7 IID and Reface CP. I realized that almost all of the music I was writing at the time shared a similar thread - to me it invoked imagery of an easygoing journey to a familiar, nostalgic place. Being the height of the pandemic, this kind of musical escapism made perfect sense. I wanted to share this project with the world in hopes that it can help others reach a place of much-needed calm and bliss, if even for a moment.
