Fading Skies / Find Me in the Stars

Fading Skies started as a song called Desolate (Winter Skies) and was not written during a happy time. I was depressed in the middle of winter with hardly a friend to help me out of my emotional funk. It's bounced around for five years now going through revision after revision, and came to be what it is now after seeing Seven Lions, The Glitch Mob, Jason Ross, Slander & NGHTMRE, and Huxley Anne during the Alchemy Tour. I pulled bits and pieces of what I remember from that night and it became the song that it is now. Find Me in the Stars was a thought experiment while I was playing with a free VST called Harsh Digital Nose. I drew a lot on some of the music I listened to back in high school.
