A mixtape I wrote about my depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. Don't get fooled by the first four tracks into thinking this will be an easy listen; "Suicide is Necessary" is designed to be difficult to listen to. This was an attempt at creating a rap album that could make you think about the fragility of life and the pain of mental illness that doesn't get touched on too heavily in hip-hop. I tried to be as balanced as possible regarding the topic of mental illness or sickness or even abuse from others around you and I feel as though I accomplished that fairly. "Suicide Is Necessary" ends with the phrase "For love's sake, we must never stop trying to know the unknowable." Again, don't expect to come out of this smelling like roses. It's a hard one, which--yes, that IS what she said--but if nothing else you should listen to the title track. It's one of my favorite pieces I've ever made.
