Chillhop Timezones France

Full album releases July 28. Chillhop presents Timezones France, the third instalment in our global series. Built around sampling vintage records, the compilation draws from 70s French library and film/TV scores, including pianist Janko Nilović, sampled by Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, and The Alchemist, alongside Bernard Lubat and Jean-Jacques Debout, plus contemporary sources like NCY Milky Band and Le Commandant Couche-Tôt. France's sample-based hip hop lineage, including DJ Cam, Onra, Hocus Pocus, and Wax Tailor, runs through the same era of samples. The producer lineup includes French Chillhop mainstays C Y G N, L'Indécis, ØDYSSEE, Evil Needle, and j'san, alongside international artists Aso, The Deli, FloFilz, Freddie Joachim, Datsunn, and Philanthrope. Timezones France continues to shine a light on the instrumental scenes and traditions that shape the music we love.
