A Tribute to Dave Smith

Anyone who has listened to or created electronic music over the past 40+ years owes a great debt to Dave Smith's work, knowingly or not. Whether it be through his engineering advances in musical synthesis, the sound of the instruments he helped develop (Prophet-5, Korg Wavestation, Seer Systems Reality and more), or via his leading role in inventing the MIDI protocol and then pushing its universal adoption. Members of our synthwave community thought it would be a nice idea to honour his selfless work by putting together a tribute compilation. Songs in this compilation were created with Dave and his contributions to music in mind.
