Glenn Chugg - Just One More

Meaning: Doomscrolling as a nursery-rhyme addiction loop — the gap between "just one more" as a harmless little lie and the moment it curdles into "No... Just... One... More" over a low-battery beep. Technical: 128 BPM viral TikTok electro-pop. Deadpan staccato female lead in the verses against a giant layered gang-vocal chorus, pitched phone-notification percussive samples tuned to the vocal melody, vocal chops, key change up a whole step for the final chorus, cadence escalating tighter and bigger with each chorus repeat. Total silence cut at the very end — no fade, no closure. Read: Funny on the surface, quietly bleak underneath, and it fills a real genre gap — genuine electro-pop, uptempo, outside the minor-key slow-build cluster that dominates the rest of the catalogue. The tuned notification ping as a melodic hook is a sharp production idea, and the escalating cadence is the same acceleration trick Redline uses, reused for a completely different physiology. The bridge's low-battery beep into "No... Just... One... More" is the best single moment of dread in the whole catalogue, precisely because everything around it is so bright. Worth a deliberate decision going forward: this is the one song written for a voice that isn't Glenn's own (deadpan female lead) — a feature, or a thing to revisit for vocal consistency across a full album.
