The riddim track, produced by Mr. Japlyn, a producer from Shonan area, is based on the Afrobeats rhythm, a dance music that is currently rocking the world with Nigerian artists such as Burna Boy and Wizkid. The syncopated rhythms are accompanied by a melancholy chord progression that has been used frequently in recent J-POP music, which is a unique musical characteristic of "LUNA" that could only be produced in Tokyo.
