"Forecast" is the sound of a beautiful lie that you’ve finally started to believe. It’s about that quiet, terrifying moment when you stop trusting your own eyes because someone you love has rewritten the weather for you. While the guitars ring out with a bright, nostalgic "jangle," the story underneath is much darker: it’s the anatomy of gaslighting. It’s about a partner who "dims your instinct" and "masks your fright" until their version of reality is the only one you have left. The song captures the eerie comfort of "waking up warm" in a bed while the world outside is being cracked by hail—a manufactured safety that costs you your sanity. This is a track for anyone who has ever had to find their way back to their own truth after living in someone else’s climate.
