'Darkness' has classic rock undertones but with a heavier edge to it. With massive sonic drive, the whole track is melodically heavy and catchy as hell - like arena rock! The song came about when Colin was trying to play 'Don't Fear the Reaper' by Blue Oyster Cult to Olga (vocalist), but he managed to make a complete mess of it, and in doing so, inadvertently created his own monster track instead. It is the first single in a series of 5 that Arc Dakota will be releasing during 2024/25. It was recorded in Manor Park Studio in Toome, Co. Antrim during Christmas 2023 and mixed and mastered in Buenos Aries by Nacho Tomé and Juani Milesi (drummer).
