This song was written as a creative collaboration between The Aswang Tribe and myself. They originally approached me to write a song around the theme of FIlipino identity. When I think about the Filipino identity I am reminded of the stories of the indigenous dream weavers that have preserved practices our ancestors have had for centuries. They use their handlooms to generate textiles from patterns seen in visions and dreams. In some ways, this song is an offering to them and to celebrate their craft. To me, the Filipino Identity is a collection of patterns our collective spirits weave between ourselves and the world around us, often manifested through our creative ingenuity. The Aswang Tribe is a collection of hand-crafted NFTs inspired by Filipino Mythology. 1500 editions of the music NFT were exclusively airdropped to holders as a part of the Aswang Multiverse.
