Tempest Rising follows the rebellion from inside a small group that was never meant to become an army. Castaway and his companion strike where they can, free those taken in the king’s repression, and watch strangers begin to gather around the same name for reasons of their own. What started as a personal claim is becoming something neither of them can fully control. To some, the Castaway is an heir. To others, a symbol, a promise, or simply proof that resistance is possible. His companion knows the man behind those stories — and sees most clearly how far the myth has already outgrown him. Once they were two strangers in a foreign land. Now they stand together inside a storm that has become larger than either of them intended.
