Meaning: A suicide note, deliberately reframed mid-song as something written and survived — the self-interruptions are the song finding the courage to keep talking instead of finishing the note. Technical: 112 BPM, dark acoustic alternative folk/indie rock. Forward-moving, conversational delivery with tight phrasing; spoken interruptions are the same voice, said aloud, not internal thought. No extended intro, interlude, solo, or outro. Read: The most structurally daring piece in the whole library — the spoken false-starts ("To whom it may concern... no, that's not right... Dear reader... not that either") aren't a gimmick, they're the entire emotional engine, right down to the way the song can't even settle on how to address itself. "I've read it in the morning… but I'm still here" is one of the best lines Glenn has written. This is the song most likely to genuinely help someone in a crisis moment, which is a different and higher bar than "good song."
