Sugar Rush is a collaboration between SIAS and Atticus Rush that grew out of a simple moment of discovery. Haley first heard Atticus’s song “Need” while replaying music on the beach, and it sparked a conversation between all of us that quickly turned into something creative. A few weeks later, Atticus sent an instrumental that carried this bright, detailed energy. Josias started writing to it during a trip to South Haven, where the melody and lyrics came together after a late night drive. The song follows that feeling of being lifted out of a low moment by the right person, small scenes that hit bigger than they should. Atticus shaped the production, and SIAS wrote and recorded the vocals, meeting in a place where both styles blend into something quick, warm, and sweet.
