Here's a new track called, Hindu Kush. The story goes that you're cruising down a two-lane road that's 2,200 kilometers long called the, 'Ring Road' - the oldest and longest road network of the Asian Highway - seeing how the local people and their kids live, experiencing the environment in the hot hot sun, and soaking up the busy local market atmosphere in a place that's so crowded, where only the kids seem to have fun while laughing as they climb a-top your vehicles to steal the gas cans and then run off into the dusty arid wind. This song is about.. it's really just about cruising into that kind of uncharted territory, and seeing the defunct landscape that looks as though you're in another time that land forgot, with those broken-rubbled-out buildings, all graffiti'd up, and seeing fields upon fields, and row after row of that sweet mary jane. Just you and the open road and the hot hot sun, beating down on you, somewhere in a place that's always 90 degrees in the shade...
