Glenn Chugg - Fair Warning

Meaning: A blunt, unapologetic address to a partner about what loving someone AuDHD actually involves — total presence, loyalty and honesty past the point of sensible, misunderstandings dismissed as the easy part compared to what comes after someone knows the whole truth and stays anyway. Technical: Punk/hardcore. Sub-3-minutes, aggressive from bar one — no build, no dynamic swell, a genuine formal departure from the catalogue's usual quiet-to-loud engine. Tempo stays fast and relentless through even the more vulnerable "Turn" and "Closing" sections rather than softening for them, which is exactly what makes those lines land harder. Ends with a hard cut, mid-breath — no fade, no resolving chord. Read: The most structurally different song here on two fronts at once. Direction: almost everything else in the catalogue describes an internal experience outward; this is written at someone — a genuine sibling to Carrying The Load with the vulnerability inverted into a dare instead of an apology. Genre: it refuses to build at all, and that refusal pays off, because the content (unconditional, non-negotiable loyalty) would be undercut by a soft entry. "Loyal past the point that's smart / that's not a flaw, that's just the start" reframes a trait every other song treats as costly into a boast that never pretends the cost isn't real. "However long, I'll spend it loving how I live" closes the song on a quiet, unstated acknowledgment that time may be shorter than expected — never named directly, just left sitting under the final line.
