605 Микрорайон - Не выключай магнитофон

605 Mikrorayon — Don't Turn Off the Tape Recorder | Radius TV, 1993 This recording was most likely made at the same Radius TV studio in 1993 where several other acoustic performances by the band were preserved. Unlike the live versions, this performance feels almost like a home rehearsal. You can hear the room taking on a life of its own—the walls answering with a gentle echo, the instruments making no attempt to sound perfect, and the song itself existing somewhere between the night and the first light of dawn. "Don't Turn Off the Tape Recorder" is not really about the tape recorder itself, but about the desire to hold on to a moment just a little longer. As long as the reels keep turning, it feels as though the night isn't over yet, friends haven't gone home, and morning—and all the goodbyes that come with it—still lies somewhere far away. That is why every imperfection has been preserved. They give the recording its sense of life, allowing it to sound much as it did to those who happened to be there when it was first played. Radinsk, 1993 Disclaimer: A work of fiction.
