Exquisite Disasters [Jangly Indie Pop]

Sugargrapes· Mar 17, 2026· 3:30· 84 plays

Exquisite disasters is a study in slow-motion collapse. It is a lyrical autopsy of how the mundane—a grocery list, a sharp sigh—eventually turns into a crack too big to fix. The track balances lush, jangly indie-pop against a primitive garage powertrio rhythm section. I wanted to capture the "fragile but grand" energy of a domestic 1991 cassette demo that accidentally found its way into a professional studio for a few final overdubs. For fans of: The Smiths, The La’s, and mid-90s Radiohead. Vocalists: I am looking for a singer to collaborate on future projects in this specific style. If this sound resonates with you, let’s talk.
