The song tells the story of two people trying to touch each other, but discovering that every connection between them is only an illusion. Their fingers meet only as sensations, not as truth. What they believe to be warmth, love, or presence is revealed to be nothing more than nerves, memories, and imagined meaning. They keep reaching across a distance that never changes, hoping each time that this touch will become real. But every attempt shows the same truth: they are touching the idea of the other, not the person. Their bodies dissolve into static, code, and fading shapes, until only the silence remains honest. In the end, they accept that they never truly touched at all — they only touched stories, reflections, and the versions they invented of each other.
