“Bel Mercy” always had this weird pull for me — not just the groove, but the space around it. It’s one of those tracks that doesn’t try too hard but still hits every time you drop it. There’s something in the bounce and the swing that just sticks. “Jengi – Bel Mercy (Hard Mike 2026 Revisit)” is my take on that feeling pushed a little darker. I didn’t want to lose what made the original work — just tighten it, rough it up, and give it more weight for the way I play now. Less polish, more pressure. This one sits somewhere between clean and broken — like it’s coming through a bad signal but still hitting exactly how it should. Part of the “Music That Saved Me” series — revisits of tracks that shaped how I hear and play music.
