Here in My Room

“Here in My Room” is dedicated to those who quietly struggle with the belief that they are too much, not enough, or simply a burden to the people around them. It is for the people who have learned to make themselves smaller, to soften their words, hide what hurts, and measure their worth by how useful they can be to someone else. For those who have been told they are loved and wanted, but cannot understand how anyone could genuinely feel that way about them. Not because they believe those people are lying, but because the idea of being loved can feel impossible to reconcile with the way they have learned to see themselves. The room in this song represents the place inside someone where those thoughts live. It is not a prison, and it is not a sanctuary. It is simply the place they retreat to when they cannot bear to let the ugliness inside spill onto the people they care about. But the song is not about overcoming all of that. There is no clean resolution, no sudden healing, and no declaration that everything is going to be okay. Instead, it is about the quiet realization that kindness can still be genuine even when someone struggles to believe they deserve it themselves. Sometimes people give others the worth they cannot find in themselves simply because they know what it feels like to go without it. “Here in My Room” is for anyone who has spent years fighting themselves in silence, for anyone who cannot understand why they are loved, and for anyone who keeps giving something good to the world despite struggling to believe they have much good left to give. So, to those who carry these thoughts quietly, to those who question their worth, and to those who keep showing kindness even when they cannot see their own value, this song is for you. Here is to the ones who keep going when no one sees the fight. To the ones who give more than they believe they have. To the ones who are still here. Not cleansed. Not whole. Not absolved. Not brave. Still here. You remain
