This piece grew out of a quiet moment of reading and reflection rather than any plan to write a song. I was struck by the story of a Tuyuhun king’s golden armor emerging again after centuries on the high plateau. What stayed with me was not the idea of war, but how time softens everything. Power fades, objects endure, and meaning shifts. I wanted the music to feel like dust lifting, light catching, and then settling again into stillness. This is a song about history returning to the earth gently, without triumph.
