I'll Be There

Cover of "I'll Be There," written by Berry Gordy, Bob West, Willie Hutch and Hal Davis, released as a single by the Jackson 5 from their album "Third Album," produced by Hal Davis. The song was the Jackson 5's 4th #1 hit in a row, making them the first group to have their first 4 singles reach #1 and the first black group with 4 consecutive #1 hits in the same year. In 2011 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It was the most successful single ever released by the Jackson 5 selling 4.2 million copies in the US, 6.1 copies worldwide. It held #1 position in the Billboard Pop Singles chart for 5 weeks and was a #1 hit on the Billboard Best Selling Soul Singles chart for 6 weeks. It was certified Silver in the UK and Gold in the US. It has been recorded or performed live by countless other artists. My cover was recorded 22 May 2026.
