Rob Radley is a singer, songwriter and producer who writes, performs and records the majority of instrumental parts on his records, drawing musical influence from multi-instrumentalists such as Prince, McCartney and Wonder; alongside the live loop performance style of Ed Sheeran and rock vocal inflections of Brandon Flowers (Killers) and Matthew Healy (The 1975). Radley’s ‘Didn’t Mean It’ is the first single from his upcoming EP. The atmospheric intro swells merge into a cool 80s retro feel for the verses, driven by synths and guitars, with lyrics hooked into themes of regret after a troubled relationship. The chorus hits hard with Drums and saxophones complimenting the ‘Didn’t Mean It’ chant, energetically derived from rock choruses of the early 2000s.
