Composer and performing artist Amanda Tovalin announces the release of her new single, “CDLV (Canto de la verdad),” a piece that fuses the tradition of Veracruz jaranas with sonic experimentation, written in décimas as a portrait of the pride of being born in this land. In CDLV, Amanda creates a sonic dialogue between the ancestral and the contemporary, bringing Veracruz roots into a realm of musical exploration where poetic language meets technology. The song stems from her interest in exploring memory, identity, and experimentation within contemporary Latin American music. It is part of her project “El origen” a creative journey in which the artist investigates how memory and identity can be transformed into contemporary sounds.
