The journey to Valanym has been brutal. It's a weeks journey through unforgiving hills, thick forests, and fierce winds. However, at the last turn around a mountain, you finally see it off in the distance. Your village was attacked and destroyed by rogue dragons. However, there were rumors that Valanym was safe from them. Never once successfully defeated in battle, rumors swirled around the very existence of the kingdom. Yet, at long last, the party had found it. As you approach city, you see the towers sprawling and overlooking the valley that it's settled in. A massive castle, towers poking up throughout and inside of its border. Surrounding it, another wall. Houses, shacks, tents, lined as far as the wall will allow. This is the city of hope. You approach the gates, and enter through. The city guards are impressive, mighty, and stalwart. As you humbly approach the cathedral, a priest offers to give you a tour of the city. Housing districts, and more, await, as you've arrived.
