Meaning: A front-porch, dead-serious defense of an indefensible pattern — buying six hens you didn't need, chasing 2am rabbit holes, running on backwards time — that turns out to be a plainspoken account of running on an AuDHD operating system, without ever naming it. Technical: Modern country-bluegrass storytelling, 108–112 BPM. Acoustic guitar, lead banjo, fiddle, upright bass, brushed snare. Dry, warm, completely sincere and deadpan vocal — comedy from cadence, never novelty. Bridge drops to solo acoustic guitar for the "I barely got my keys" moment, holds a full beat of silence, then the full band crashes back in loose and human. Read: The strongest execution of "funny with a hint of tenderness" in the whole library. The final chorus does real songwriting work rather than repeating the hook — "which proves the math was wrong, but somehow proves the plan was good" is deadpan logic that's funny on first listen and true on the second. The bridge is where it stops being a joke and becomes unmistakably a Chugg song — the rooster falling off the fence rail and climbing straight back up, no flinch, is the same "keep trying" instinct running through Plan A and Out Of Spec, delivered here with a laugh instead of a wound.
