“Teanga” (Irish for “language”) is mid-tempo indietronica blending offbeat synths, fiddle and trumpet with atmospheric Irish-language vocals. Built around the old Irish idiom idir dhá thine Bhealtaine (“between two fires”), it explores heritage, identity and the desire to reclaim language. The song plays on fonn, meaning both “melody” and “longing”. Released for Culture Night 2026, it is dedicated to activist and historian Ciarán Walsh.
