Half Moon is the second song we wrote and recorded as a band. We used drum machines, live drum breaks, Juno 60, 808, a Fender Telecaster, an Orange amplifier, various guitar pedals, an 80s korg reverb unit, Ableton Live, and a bunch of sounds we sampled from different keyboards through pedals and plugins. It was originally a different recording and arrangement with production that was much more melancholy, ambient, and organic but we decided that our favorite version of it involved mixing in electronics, drums, keyboards, live bass, and our love for these sounds that create a world that a song lives in. One day we may release the alternate version. For now, we feel really good about this one. Thank you for listening. - FP
